According to the latest WHO report, India ranks second globally, following China, in terms of viral hepatitis burden, with 29.8 million cases of hepatitis B and 5.5 million hepatitis C infections recorded in 2022.

Indian Hepatitis Summit 2025 aims to address the critical gaps in awareness, access to care, and healthcare infrastructure contributing to these alarming statistics. With one unified vision on “Accelerating India’s commitment to Eliminate Viral Hepatitis Before 2030” the summit will focus on driving awareness and implementing innovative strategies to combat the growing incidence of viral hepatitis in India.
